TAKE THE FREE FUTURE SKILLS ASSESSMENT

Select which version of the test (for professionals working in large companies, startups or students) best suits your needs and get started. The Future Skills assessment, it’s a simple online test that takes about 20 minutes to complete. The assessment is based on a number of questions and there are no right or wrong answers. You can’t fail the assessment – just be honest, and don’t overthink your answers in order to get the most out of your results.

You’ll receive your personalised report with the results of the assessment. Your report will include detailed results of your preferences and scores in relation to the Future Skills.

Innovation persona

We’ve identified four main personas, when it comes to innovating. Knowing which one is your natural style, will help you leverage your strengths and work more efficiently within a team. 

Innovation Persona - Creator
Creator

Creators combine a detailed approach with a love of user experience and solution design. Creators are able to conceptualise engaging products and service solutions.

Innovation Persona - hacker
Hacker

Excellent attention to detail with a great grasp of how things work. Hackers have a broad set of skills to easily build things and implement concepts.

Innovation Persona - hero
Hero

Heroes focus on the big picture, prioritising ‘purpose’ over all else. Heroes aren’t too interested in details, but look to capitalise on any and all opportunities.

Innovation Persona - Hustler
Hustler

Ambitious, driven and a total people person. Hustlers will work around obstacles, engage customers and stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.

Based on the work of futurists, researchers and future-thinking companies such as IDEO, The World Economic Forum and The Economist, we’ve identified 21 Future Skills. These are highly-desirable skills for the future of work, including empathy, creativity and the ability to make a decision with incomplete information. 

ABILITY TO DEAL WITH UNCERTAINTY

The ability to accept uncertainty and thrive in it. 

RESILIENCE

The ability to bounce back from failure and challenges. 

CREATIVITY

The ability to use original and imaginative ideas to create something new. 

MAKING DECISIONS BASED ON INCOMPLETE INFORMATION

The ability to still function and take action, even with a missing piece of the puzzle.

HUMILITY

Being more open to entertaining the validity of contrasting views and opinions.

FOCUS

The ability to focus one the task at hand, and remove distractions.

The level of risk you are prepared to accept, before action is deemed necessary to reduce the risk.

Feeling invested in something and feeling responsible for the outcome of a particular project.

The ability to embrace new ways and concepts, and perform tasks that you haven’t done before. 

CUSTOMER-CENTRICITY​

The ability to really listen to your customer will give you a new level of understanding of their needs. 

OPTIMISM

The ability to maintain a positive outlook through challenging times. 

CONFIDENCE

Confidence in yourself comes from the knowledge of the value you provide and the feeling of being able to rely on yourself and on your skills.

SEEING OPPORTUNITY IN EVERYTHING

Seizing opportunities and seeing them through. Graduates with strong enterprise skills can spot an opportunity and use their initiative and a proactive approach to make the most of it

GRIT

The ability to maintain motivation and perseverance for a long period of time, despite failures and setbacks.

CURIOSITY

Being curious helps you ask questions, it leads to continuous learning, ultimately helping you expand your thinking.

EMPATHY

The ability to understand another person’s perspective and feel what they feel.

VULNERABILITY

Uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure. Being vulnerable can foster connections and trust.

ABILITY TO HOLD CONFLICTING VIEWS

How can you balance short-term profits and long-term goals? How can you focus on your work and your personal life? The ability to make decisions, while holding conflicting sides.

ABILITY TO BREAK THE RULES

The ability to defy authority, when the situation calls for it. Being able to ask for uncomfortable questions and not being afraid to shake things up.

SELF-MOTIVATION

The ability to take initiative. Knowing what to do is only the beginning. Your internal motivation will push you to take action and will get you out of your comfort zone to turn your ideas into concrete goals.
